Last Saturday in Dubai, Technogym Group Cycle broke the Guinness World Record for “Most mechanical energy produced by pedaling on static bicycles in one hour”.
The event took place in cooperation with the Executive Council of Dubai, at Burj Park in Dubai and involved over 300 cyclists riding 105 Group Cycle bikes in shifts of 20 minutes each, to achieve a total combined energy output of 8999 kWh.
The event also entailed turning the world’s tallest building into the world’s tallest fitness console as Technogym utilised their Mywellness cloud platform in conjunction with a specially designed app to display the progress of the activity by projecting the cumulative energy produced in real-time on the Burj Khalifa.
Technogym’s Group Cycle combines unique design with cutting-edge connectivity, awesome feeling and unparalleled ease of use. It is the world’s first indoor cycling bike offering a totally immersive riding experience. Group Cycle Connect tracks workout power, heart rate, cadence, calories and all the other key parameters, allowing users to improve their performance and reach their goals, thanks to the new Console connected to Technogym mywellness cloud-based platform.
